MANNING - William Simpson "Bill" Cummins, 89, husband of Evelyn B. Cummins, died Friday, July 19, 2024, at his home in Florida.

Born May 30, 1935, in Dawson Springs, KY, he was the son of the late Myron William Cummins and the late Nina Rey Simpson. He was a retired US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of Palmetto, FL; two sons, James Cummins of Goose Creek and David R. Cummins (Paula) of Guyton, GA; six grandchildren, Melanie Davis (Bert) of Richmond Hill, GA, Lauren Cummins of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie Harper (David) of Lexington, William Cummins of San Diego, CA, Sara Traylor (Cody) of Statesboro, GA, and Brad Garbett of Guyton, GA; five great grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Emma Davis, Olivia Wren, Victoria Wrenn, and Michael Harper; a stepdaughter, Autumn Williams (Bo) of Hendersonville, NC; and a stepson, Stephen Bogan of Old Saybrook, CT.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Pritchett Cummins.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Clarendon Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David D. McManus, Jr. officiating.
