Obituary for Michelle Dawn (Spires) Morse

Michelle Dawn (Spires) Morse, 56, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. She was born on March 26, 1968, to Gregory and Linda (Smith) Spires.
Michelle graduated from Bloomington High School South class of 1986. She worked at the Monroe County Assessor’s Office for nearly 20 years and after that went to work with her beloved husband at Sierra Heating & Cooling, running the office and scheduling.
Michelle’s bright personality was contagious to everyone she met. She enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling, and being outdoors in the sunshine. She also loved the beach and spending time with friends who were more like family. Michelle had lifelong girlfriends that turned into sisters, and she cherished each one. Michelle's all-time favorite thing was being a mother and a “Mimi” to her children and grandchildren. Her love for her family was unsurpassed. She loved everything about it, from Sunday family dinners to crazy family vacations to Disney World. She wanted nothing more than to get everyone together and make memories that would be held onto forever.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 9 years, Scott Morse; three sons, Dustin Mason (Natalie), Jarred Mason (Courtney), and Landon Mason (Abby); two stepsons, Cole Morse (Hannah), Carson Morse, and her younger brother, Chris Spires. Michelle also had six grandchildren that were the light of her life: Clara, Harper, Norah, Kohen, Tripp, and Ryatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gregory Spires and Linda Harmon.
The family will receive visitors for a viewing on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 2-5 PM at Allen Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Michelle will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be given to Southern Care Hospice, in which a check can be written in her memory and brought to the funeral home or mailed to their office at 1923 S. Liberty Drive, Bloomington 47403.
Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.allencares.com.
